District Seven

• Are fraternal, patriotic, historical and educational;
• To preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members;
• To assist worthy comrades;
• To perpetuate the memory and history of our dead, and to assist their widows
  and orphans;
• To maintain true allegiance to the government of the United States of
  America, and fidelity to its constitution and laws;
• To foster true patriotism;
• To maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom;
• And to preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies,
  whomsoever.

Remember It was the Veteran

Remember It was the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It was the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It was the Veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It was the Veteran, not the campus organizer, who has given us the right to
     demonstrate.
It is the Veteran who salutes the flag.
Who served under the flag.
Whose coffin is draped by the flag.
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
